After some conversation yesterday, I learned that not one person had any idea what my cartoon was about. So today, I tried to clarify. (PS- The silver thing is suppose to be a doorknob.) (PPS- I think if one has to explain a cartoon, it might not be that successful ) 🙂

Hell you know what you’re going to have to explain all of that cartoon, and you know that damn doorknob won’t work because it can break Hahaha!!!

I can hear your voice every time I read one of your comments. It never fails to make me smile. I’ve always struggled with the doorknob myself. Even when I was lost with 30 days sober, I knew the doorknob was no good for me.

Nobody got it. Its one of my favorite drawings, but my thoughts really did not translate at all. Its suppose to be a doorknob, fat Buddha, a monk, and the Hindu Vishnu.

I like the look of the conductor person (is that a spoon in his right hand? Can he bake?) but I don’t want to be conducted. The last figure is bright and colorful and holds something (for me) in his hand); that has possibilities. I want my higher power to be female like me so perhaps I’ll vote for the round, sitting female.

The round female was suppose to be fat Buddha. Lol. There is a saying in AA that if one cannot believe in God, start with a doorknob. It can be anything as long as we don’t think we are staying sober through our own willpower. The reasoning is one day our willpower will fail us, and then we have to find our strength in something greater than ourselves. I love you. I hope you are doing well.
